SAP MM is central/core to all logistics and supply chain components in SAP ERP system. If you can start with this module, then you’ll have relative ease in expanding to other SAP components, such as PP, PM, QM etc.
In my over-twelve years of SAP consulting and working on numerous projects and SAP components, it’s always the knowledge or the experience of SAP MM that has helped the most.
However, do note that SAP MM is also a very ‘common’ module, which means more competition for roles/projects. That’s when expertise in other SAP modules such as PP, PM, QM etc. provides the much-needed advantage to advance the career.

The answer depends on your hands on experience working as an end user. You should be good with the Business requirements. SAP MM and PP is added advantage. PM is Good but, if you know PP and QM, it will always be an advantage.
There is good scope in the market for experienced. Though you might notice cross module are the trend, i suggest be clear and thorough one module first than bits of two or more module.
