In SAP terminology; Client means System landscape.
As per the SAP implementation methodology. The consultant will configure / design as per the customer req. in DEVELOPMENT system and test fully. After the Green signal, the same will be moved to the TESTING system. Where Customer / user will test. After the green signal from the customer, this will be moved to the PRODUCTION system.
In the above case, all three systems are called “CLIENT”.
