SAP is an ERP. It is basically tool-oriented. It contains two sections: Functional and Technical.
Basically Technical contains SAP ABAP Module, and the technical guy is responsible for writing the code and debugging. It is similar to SQL, containing Tables and queries. It also contains SAP Basis, which deals with Role and User profile maintenance in SAP.
