In case of any technology education, always prefer to go for the latest one. Between SAP Finance and SAP S/4 HANA Finance Certification, I’d suggest to pursue SAP S/4 HANA Finance certification because this is new and upcoming hot topic in Indian Markets.
But at the same time, don’t make yourself isolated from SAP Finance environment because you may not be given a green-field to implement SAP S/4 HANA Finance, there is high possibility of you getting migration projects or SAP ECC projects even if you are SAP S/4 HANA Certified. Yes, SAP certification always help you to grow in the industry. As SAP S/4 HANA is concerned, I guess there are relatively less people who have expertise in the same.
The only concern in getting the SAP certification is certification cost. Base SAP certification can cost you around Rs. 4 Lakh. Further, there are very few training SAP certified labs when we consider INDIA.
My suggestion to you is if you are working in some organization and you are also currently working on SAP, then ask your manager/company for the sponsorship of the certification. I have worked in Big 4 where company happily endorse you for the certifications as along as they are relevant to the company.

Since the SAP world is certainly moving towards everything HANA, my recommendation is to go for SAP S/4HANA Simple Finance.
Of course, a lot that your learn in FICO will still make things easier for you to pick up concepts and working of Simple Finance.
Here (and like always), the key is to try and get actual SAP HANA implementation experience in an end-to-end project.
