Yes, of course. I don’t have the exact number but I would think it is less than 5 million LOC in ERP. S/4 HANA is a different animal but contains coding, too.
If you are asked to fill a position to use SAP MM or to consult on the business processes, the coding inside the module may not be very much applicable to your job. However, for techno-functional consultants understanding of ABAP might come in handy to interact with technical consultants, architects and programmers.

No…. SAP MM does not contain any coding. It is basically understanding the business processes of the respective Industry and mapping the same in SAP through configuration settings.
It also Includes creation of master data and other relevant for smooth functioning of the entire Procurement process. Also you will have to work on Inventory Management, Material Valuation and some taxation part as well.
