SAP EP stands for (Enterprise Portal), provides more than mere integration of data from various sources. It enables interaction and collaboration between various applications. In the similar manner, various types of applications can be integrated into the portal and provide for easy communication and exchange of information.

The components of the SAP (EP) make the data understandable to all the applications and make it available in the necessary format for use in different industry verticals.

The ALE is application link enabling by using SAP technologies to support cross applications and it uses IDOS to support the cross applications. It is a tool which will help to transfer the data from one SAP system to another SAP system. It also transfers data to SAP to non SAP system. In this scenario if it is transferring data from SAP to non SAP then it uses translators and translators are TIBCO/XI.
